Camp Nana...& Papa

Kali stayed a week, then Braden came for few days to hang with Nana and Papa. This week we'll have Kelsey while her mom and dad are fishing in Alaska. It's hard to really spoil the grandkids when we have 2 of our own calling "no fair", but we do manage to slip in a few absolutely outrageous activities just because we can!

Tough Love

I'm surrounded by the coolness. Notice the ink. Mr. Cool has arrived.

Hang on - taking time to smell the flowers.

Am I a lucky Nana or what?

Summertime Full Swing!

Softball games, vacation bible school, softball camp, amusement park, church camps, barbeques, swimming, karate, family & friends, water park....and somewhere in between is laundry, grocery shopping, vacuuming, sleep. Blogging? in my "spare time"!!

Nicholas left this afternoon for his first camp experience ever. We had the choice of rural adventure or concrete jungle. He is not about campfires, hiking or bugs. His eyes light up at vast expanses of paved parking, stairs and inclines where he can ride his skateboard. My kid is a "city boy" and was really excited to be housed in a college dorm.

Lexi goes next week - her first overnighter besides mommy & me scout camp. Mommy has graduated to 5Star Camping Only. This church camp is in Kaci's neck of the woods, so I'm hanging out with the grandkids while Lexi roughs it.

Last week was softball camp in the mornings and bible school at night. Crazy busy, but we had fun! Kaci, Kali & Braden came on Friday and we went to the water park with Lori & Kelsey. We met up with more family to enjoy a full day in the sun.

Tonight I'm itchy with a sunburn and my throat is scratchy. Lexi & Kali are writing a Christmas play. June is the get'er'done month at our house! Tomorrow we're having lunch with girlfriend Laddie from Edwardsville, IL.....I haven't seen her in almost a YEAR and I've missed her!
